I’m in Portland for a few days, so I’m taking this opportunity to start as many seedlings as I can. I brought home my entire seed collection:
I know some of these should have started indoors sooner (ahem, tomatoes). And some of these could probably wait a bit to be started, but I don’t want to wait until July, so it’s now or never.
I have zucchini, butternut squash, cucumber, beans, peas, several kinds of herbs (including basil, and chervil and parsley – again), tomatoes, and some flowers. I also want to pick up some lettuce seeds to start while I’m here.
I made more newspaper pots to plant the seeds. The larger square pots seemed to work well for the last round of seeds we started in Portland. The only change I made this time was to use a mixture of seed starting mix and potting soil (roughly 2:1).
Here they are all potted up!
I’ll keep the seeds in the kitchen where I can keep an eye on them until they germinate and then I’ll move them downstairs under the grow lights.
