Before I left Palo Alto, I harvested two very (overly) ripe pea pods that I had intentionally left on the vines to dry.

I’m pretty sure these are Sugar Snap Pole Peas.



From these two pods, originating from two pea plants, I got six seeds.

The original packet of seeds was from 2012 (!), and had a pretty low germination rate, but now I have a fresh new 2021-era seeds to plant next year!
George Washington would have salvaged the seeds as well!
