Well, we didn’t get the frost that threatened. Everything in the garden is chugging along just as before, but it is getting to the end of the season.
We removed the fence around the main garden, pulled up the beans and a few of the tomatoes. There are still some tomatoes that look too good to pull yet (I should probably pull them) and a few zinnias are about to bloom.
Once those are done, I’ll be able to set up the cold frame for the few fall crops remaining in this space.
I already set up the cold frame on the fall crops. It was easy enough to simply remove the netting and throw this plastic over the hoops.
They don’t technically need it, but at least this way I’m fully prepared if the temps suddenly drop.
