Getting the Dahlia Tubers in the Ground

In addition to getting the tomatoes planted last weekend, I also planted all the dahlia tubers.

Most of them went in the Flower Garden. Those dark patches in the photo above are where I placed the tubers – those are the holes I dug.

I plopped a tuber (or clump of tubers) in each hole, covered it up with dirt and watered it in.

I still had a lot of tubers left after planting up the Flower Garden, so I put some on the other side of the driveway.

Consider these the “before” photos:

Again, the dark patches (hard to see in this photo) are where I put the dahlias.

If all goes according to plan, the driveway will be lined with dahlias come August.
