Last weekend I gave the onion seedlings a haircut. Trimming the greens is supposed to allow more energy to go toward growing stronger roots and forming a bigger bulb. I stopped by my neighborhood garden store, Cornell Farms, the other evening to pick up some seeds for the new garden season.
On my list were onions, chard, sorrel, nasturtium, eggplant, and peppers.
